Ep. 48 - Handling Peer Pressure While Losing Weight
from The Chasing Health Podcast · host Chase Smith
In this week’s episode it was just me, myself, and I! I am going to start doing more solo episodes on specific topics that YOU request me to cover, whatever it may be that you are struggling with. These will be shorter and dive right into tactical information that you can takeaway from each episode! On this week’s episode I discussed how to deal with peer pressure while on your weight loss journey. Thank you, Janine C, for the topic submission! By the way, if you would like to submit a topic idea, email me: [email protected] or shoot mea message on any of my socials (links below). I covered the two types of people that you will run into when you’re getting started. The intentions behind what people are saying to you… things yo may find negative, but they have nothing to do with you, but more with themselves. How to best help someone when they need to change their habits and improve their health, but maybe are not ready to. Lastly, I ran through 3 scenarios you may come across: The person at the office that brings in cookies and encourages you to eat one. The family member that is pushing dessert on you at every family gathering. The social situation when friends want to out for ice cream after you have already reached your calories for the day (this one you probably won’t expect my answer). Finally, I wrapped it up with some final thoughts when it comes to dealing with peer pressure. If you enjoyed today’s episode, I would love to hear some feedback from you!
