Brian Windhorst is a sportswriter and analyst who covers the NBA for ESPN.  A graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary high school in Akron, Ohio, Brian began his career as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat writer for the Akron Beacon Journal in 2003 and went on to work for the Cleveland Plain Dealer in October 2008.  In 2010, his career profile was greatly elevated after LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat, prompting the seasoned journalist to accept a promotion with The Worldwide Leader in Sports. In this episode, we discuss how Brian's path of covering LeBron James has been unique, his relationship with the mega star, his rise within the media world from local Cleveland-Akron reporter to the many facets of covering the NBA on a national stage, and his thoughts about social media and its impact on the industry.
