On July 6th 1992 Marsha P. Johnson was found floating facedown in the Hudson River.  Her death was quickly ruled a suicide, but she had blunt force trauma to the back of the head. Sadly as a black transgender female, her case did not get the attention it deserved from police, but she did gain recognition around the world.
