Ep 5- How To Start A Fight On A Plane With Luke Heggie

"Start early, whack the back of somebody's seat, but don't get physical until about 30 minutes in" is comedian Luke Heggie's advice if you want to end up on his podcast, Mid Flight Brawl. Luke can be found at comedy rooms across the city almost every night of the week, with his stand up being described as a collection of things that have annoyed him over the last 12 months. He's appeared on shows like The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, The Project, and Question Everything, and will be touring his newest show I Won't Stay It Again during the Sydney Comedy Festival later this year. Luke joined me in the Sydney Tonight studio this week in between his busy schedule of comedy performances and avoiding other parents at his kids' school and had a lot to share! We spoke about trying to perform comedy in French, why he thinks we should be allowed to give pedestrians a whack, and the time a joke he made about peanut allergies ended up getting more backlash than any other joke he's made.Also on the show this week is stained glass business owner James Pont (Nathan Roach) who is strongly opposed to rumours that the windows outside the QVB are going to be replaced with regular glass! Mr Pont has owned his business for just over a decade now (with no foul play behind it) and feels very strongly that all windows should be stained glass! After his family moved to Sydney from London around 100 years ago (probably), Mr Pont has become the man responsible for stained glass in this city, so it is a pleasure to introduce you to him on this episode. And finally, I took a trip to the Castle Hill Kite Festival last week to see how strictly they were enforcing the rule that "no outside kites" would be allowed!
