Ep.5 mothers of the believers: Safiya bint huyayy, Maymuna bint Al-Harith and Mariya the coptic

We begin with Safiyyah bint Huyayy (RA)—a woman of noble Jewish descent whose journey to Islam was filled with strength, dignity, and grace. Her story reminds us that faith transcends heritage and that Allah elevates hearts that believe. Next, we reflect on Maymunah bint Al-Harith (RA), the last wife of the Prophet (SAW). Known for her humility and barakah-filled home, Maymunah shows us the beauty of silent devotion and the blessings of serving with sincerity. Then we honor Māriyah al-Qibṭiyyah (RA), the Coptic Christian woman from Egypt who embraced Islam and gave birth to the Prophet’s beloved son, Ibrahim. Her story is one of transformation, sacrifice, and softness—a reminder that those who come to Islam are welcomed with dignity and love. As we conclude this series on the Mothers of the Believers, we reflect on the powerful roles these women played—not just as wives, but as leaders, scholars, caregivers, and pillars of faith. Their stories continue to guide and inspire generations of Muslims, especially women striving to balance faith and life in every era. May their legacies live on in our hearts, our homes, and our actions.
