Today’s guests, Daniel and Sarah, are living that experience right now. The married couple were only a block from their home when a distracted driver ran a red light and practically hit them head-on. As you can imagine, the injuries were very serious. Sarah spent 22 days in the hospital, three of those in a medically induced coma. She suffered a multiple broken bones, fractured vertebrae, punctured lung, and a traumatic brain injury that she still deals with today. Now, two and a half years later, Sarah is going in for a brain surgery procedure to hopefully identify and fix the seizures she’s been experiencing. Dan feels he the more fortunate of the two but still suffered a brain bleed that required a short hospital stay and a shoulder injury that lingered for around a year before he could get surgery on it.Throughout all of this, they’ve been each other’s rock and still possess a great attitude despite all the pain and suffering they’ve experienced.
