Ep 50: Can You Eat Eggs and Dairy on the Endometriosis Diet?

from This EndoLife · host Jessica Duffin

What foods trigger endometriosis? It’s a complicated question to answer and the topic of dairy can be a even more complicated, with some nutritionists suggesting caution and others suggesting to eliminate dairy completely. My personal endometriosis diet is plant-based, so no eggs or dairy. In this episode, I dive into why I made that decision, the research I found along the way, how I feel health wise for cutting the two out and what my diet looks like now. I also explore what Henrietta Norton, Alisa Vitti and Maisie Hill have to say about dairy for hormone health and endometriosis. This episode is in no way about going vegan - I believe we’re all different and genetically, veganism might not work for us all. I’m just sharing what has worked for me, what I’ve learnt along the way and what some of the experts are saying about dairy, eggs, hormones and inflammation. As always, this episode is not intended to treat endometriosis, but to provide you with information and tools to help you work out a path of management that suits you and works for your own body. While I am training to be an Integrative Women’s Health Coach, I am not a nutritionist. With that being said, I hope this episode clears up any confusion you have about these foods and their impact on endometriosis. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me!
