Ep 507 When is Going to Midyear Worth It

Midyear is one of those FOMO events where students feel like they can't get a residency without going. There are four genuine reasons to go such as Presenting a poster Engaging with residents during their poster presentations Eliminating residencies from your preferred list Finding lesser known residencies There are reasons not to go such as  Impressing sites with your questions at Showcase Getting a CV in the right hands at Showcase (they often recycle them)  Either way, Vegas is an experience, if you have the money, sure, it's a great trip, but your money is better spent on well crafted applications and the time away from APPEs if often difficult to catch up on.  If you want my one-on-one help, find me at https://residency.teachable.com/ or email [email protected]
