Ep 51: What is Your Resistance Telling You?

from Journey of You · host Devin, Chris & Felicia

What if the very thing you’re avoiding is the doorway to your freedom—and your joy? ✨In this solo episode of Journey of You JoyCast, Felicia tenderly unpacks the truth that what we resist, persists, inviting you into a compassionate, embodied exploration of resistance as a powerful teacher rather than an obstacle. Through personal storytelling, gentle inquiry, and a guided somatic practice, this episode becomes a living permission slip to be seen, to feel, and to choose joy anyway.Rooted in authentic self-expression, emotional awareness, and personal expansion, this conversation reminds us that resistance isn’t a failure—it’s information. When we meet our fear, vulnerability, and old belief systems with curiosity and grace, density softens, energy moves, and truth rises to the surface. This is conscious awakening work made human, relatable, and deeply kind.In this episode, you will explore:Why resisting emotions or situations keeps us stuck—and how allowing them creates flowHow fear of being seen blocks joy, and how self-compassion reopens the doorA simple, embodied practice to sit with resistance and gently upgrade your inner dialogueThe liberating truth that joy doesn’t require perfection—only presenceThis episode naturally weaves themes of inner joy, emotional healing, and spiritual growth, offering a grounded yet sparkly reminder that joy is your birthright—and you’re allowed to claim it.✨ If this episode resonates, listen all the way through, subscribe to Journey of You JoyCast for more conversations on joy and truth, and share it with someone who might need permission to soften, feel, and expand today.Send us Fan Mail✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨If you loved what you heard, we'd love for you to spread the joy! ✨💗 And if you'd love to get in touch or work with us, you can find us here:Devin's website: https://www.drdevindegreif.com               insta: @drdevindegreifChris: https://linktr.ee/chrisbrandweinFelicia's website: https://www.happieryoucoaching.com               insta: @iamfeliciawong✨ Credits for the fun background music ("The Fun of Everyday Life!" 😁) go to "JK_Production007" on audiojungle!

This Impact Studios production is a collaboration with the Governor family, UTS Faculty of Law and Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research. The Last Outlaws teamKatherine Biber - UTS Law Professor and Chief InvestigatorAunty Loretta Parsley - Great-granddaughter of Jimmy Governor and the Governor Family Historian Leroy Parsons - Governor descendant, Narrator and Co-WriterKaitlyn Sawrey - Host, Writer and Senior ProducerFrank Lopez - Writer, Managing Next Generation Energy Systems Cambridge University Background Stakeholders working with energy systems have to make complex decisions formulated from risk-based assessments about the future. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
