Googleは日本時間の2025年8月26日、Androidで配布されるすべてのアプリについて“開発者の身元確認（Developer Verification）”を必須化すると発表しました。対象はGoogleアプリがプリインされPlay Protectを搭載する「認証済みAndroid端末」。これにより、Playストアはもちろん、他社アプリストアやウェブからのサイドローディングであっても、検証済み開発者のアプリでなければインストールできなくなります。
