EP 538: My Childhood Trauma: A Personal Story

from Showing Up To Life · host Art Burns

As you know, I always like to write an email to convey some of what is included in the episode of the day. But today’s topic makes that, in some ways, more difficult. This is, in part, because today’s episode is all about my own personal childhood trauma. And that should serve as a trigger warning to you; although the stories I tell today are not very violent, they are potentially disturbing. So I will just let you watch the video: If anything I say today resonates with you, and you feel like you are suffering from trauma you didn’t know about, I urge you to reach out. As a coach, my job is to help you implement tools to help you function in the here and now. But healing trauma requires looking back and understanding what happened to you. This can be a very difficult task and one that many people can not do alone. There is no shame in needing help. And if you need help finding help, I will help.
