She’s a multi-faceted creative who really does it all videography, studio management, content, community, and keeping the whole operation flowing.From the jump, the conversation’s a mix of laughs, honesty, and real life. We talk about vices, finding calm in the morning, and learning to protect your peace when life gets loud. Nicole opens up about growing up Cape Verdean, being the youngest of four sisters, and how her family and culture shaped the way she sees the world.She shares her journey from early creative curiosity to finding purpose through storytelling and how that eventually led her into SoundLab Recording Studios in Brockton. What started as helping out and connecting with local artists turned into something much bigger: a chance to build community through music, visuals, and creativity.Nicole talks about what SoundLab means to her , not just as a studio, but as a movement for local talent. It’s a place where artists come together, create, and grow. And the work’s paying off , Nicole and the SoundLab team have been nominated for multiple Boston Music Awards. Nicole herself is up for Music Videographer of the Year, while SoundLab is nominated for Studio of the Year, and one of her videos is even in the running for Video of the Year.But Nicole’s artistry doesn’t stop at the camera . She’s also getting back into something she’s always loved: drawing. Art’s always been part of her story, and now she’s bringing that passion full circle, selling her original drawings and connecting with people through another side of her creativity.
