In the future the machines will take over and they'll send one of their own back to destroy any chance of humanities survival. Then, they'll send a bunch more to make sure that happens... It doesn't work, so they send some more. By now the timeline is so crammed with terminators you can't move for them. So what do you do? Reboot? A ret-con Sequel?
