Why is it that as soon as the sun comes out, the default suggestion is a drink in a pub garden? We reflect on our own experiences growing up around drinking, the pressure we sometimes felt to join in, and the subtle ways people can feel pushed to drink even when they don’t want to. From youthful nights out to adult social habits, we explore how alcohol has shaped so much of our social lives. We also talk about how attitudes toward drinking are starting to shift.
