This episode virtually goes to the Wachau region of Austria again! My guest is the honorable Roman Horvath, Master of Wine and CEO of the Domäne Wachau winery. In my eyes, the Domäne has been a fantastic example of a respectable and innovative cooperative not only in Austria, but in the vast wine world as well. Hundreds of local vintners families thrive for excellent wines with around 80 labels under the guidance of Mr. Horvath and Mr. Frischengruber, the chief winemaker and oenologist at the estate. We've talked about the Wachau terroir and history in great detail, tasted 3 tasty wine ghosts together, touched upon sustainable and organic viticulture, discussed the ideal way to show the individuality of the many Wachau micro terroirs, and highlighted why Wachau should be your next holiday destination.
