On this episode of Faisel & Friends, some of the topics we cover are: what care can look like within correctional facilities, the importance of lifestyle care for prison residents, and the impact of behavioral health on long-term health outcomes.Raziuddin Ali is a healthcare professional with extensive managed-care experience in the Medicare and Medicaid population who is well-versed in managed-care policy, value-based care, health delivery across a continuum of care, innovation, and social determinants of health. He was part of Virginia Governor-Elect Northam’s Transition Policy Council on Health and Human Resources and has been a board member of Virginia’s Medicaid Department (DMAS) and Occupational Therapy Advisory Board. He trained in Internal Medicine at George Washington University and completed a resident’s fellowship in Health Policy. He is currently serving as a Regional Medical Director for Wellpath, a company that provides integrated healthcare for those that are justice-involved. He is married to Sumayra and is raising three elementary and middle school-aged children. He is also completing a Masters in Healthcare Delivery Science at Dartmouth.
