In this episode, co-chair of our Women in Business Committee, WANYING LIM, sits down with BLAIR HALL, Former Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. Embassy, Singapore as they discuss the future possibilities, state of politics post elections, how women have shattered the glass ceiling in this election and US relations with Asia & the UK. ABOUT BLAIR HALL Blair Hall is Managing Director of Westminster Minato Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based policy and communications consulting firm. He previously served as director of strategic advisory at L Catterton Asia, a leading Pan-Asian consumer focussed private equity firm. During his 40-year career at the U.S. State Department, Blair served seven U.S. Presidents, Republican and Democratic. His diplomatic assignments included positions in Tokyo (3 times), London, New Delhi, Copenhagen, Okinawa, Singapore, and Washington, DC. As Deputy Chief of Mission in Singapore 2013-2016, Blair was responsible for management, operations and strategic planning of all aspects of the U.S. Mission. Blair led 300 employees representing 19 federal agencies with an annual operating budget of approx. USD 51 million. He also engaged the highest levels of Singapore government and industry leaders to advance U.S. trade, investment, security and law enforcement objectives. He was a spokesperson for the U.S. government in media and in public forums.
