In this episode, Pastor G & T dive into 1 Peter and how the Apostle begins his comforting and challenging letter. He addresses his audience as THE ELECT and a CHOSEN PEOPLE even if they are strangers in this world. Peter recognizes that many of the Christians he is writing to feel alone and "weird" for believing in Jesus. Peter comforts them by reminding them "whose" they are and that they have been called to something much bigger than a normal life that will end. Instead, we have been called to a new life with a living hope. We are so different because we believe in Jesus and the resurrection. This makes temporary hardships par for the course, beneficial even, because they refine in us our sole foundation - Jesus Christ as our Savior, our Righteousness, and our Goal. Tune in for more!
