Ep. 57 - Dr. Ido Cohen & Deanna Rogers - Ayahuasca, Psychedelics, Integration, & Therapy
from The Universe Within Podcast · host Jason Grechanik
Hey everybody! Episode 57 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friends Deanna and Ido. They work together in the field of plant medicine integration. Deanna uses her own experiences combined with somatic therapy and the work of Gabor Maté while Ido is a psychologist and uses Jungian archetypes. It was a pleasure speaking with them. They have a beautiful way of expressing themselves and have an experiential wisdom coming from many years of their own work and working with others. I think you all will enjoy this episode. Enjoy!"Dr. Ido Cohen, Psy.D - As part of his psychotherapy practice in San Francisco, Ido offers integration and preparation sessions with individuals and groups. Following his interest in eastern spirituality, kabbalah and shamanic traditions, Ido dedicated his doctoral dissertation to a 6 year study of the integration process of Ayahuasca ceremonies, while applying Jungian psychology to better understand how to support individuals in their process of change and transformation. He is also the co-founder of The Integration Circle and facilitates workshops on the different dimensions of integration and the intersection of mental health, spiritual health and the entheogenic experience.""Deanna has been working with plant medicines for the last decade… In this time she has supported hundreds of guests through their medicine journeys and also embarked on her own deep healing with the plants through a traditional study of dieta. Her commitment is to help people uncover and work with the root of their illness or condition so that they can live a more connected life. This is led through a process of Inquiry, somatic processing, and a balance of guiding and listening. Her work is deeply influenced by her training with Dr. Gabor Mate and his Compassion Inquiry model, Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing, and through her study with Indigenous Healers in the Amazon.Deanna offers preparation and integration sessions before and after plant medicine experiences to help ground and live the healing journey.”For Ido and Deanna’s full bio, visit: https://www.universewithinpodcast.com/podcast/deanna-idoIdo & Deanna's work: Instagram @TheIntegrationCircle Deanna's website: https://www.deannacrogers.com & Ido's email: [email protected] episode is sponsored by the Temple of the Way of Light: https://templeofthewayoflight.org/Share the show, Subscribe, and go on Apple Podcasts to leave a starred-rating and a short review.
