Ep 57 - Lessons From Swimming

from Michael's Motivation Hosted by Michael Whitehouse

Recently, my daughter learned to swim without floaties for the first time. As she was first starting, she would grip my hand with hers to prevent from sinking. It did keep her from sinking, but it also kept her from swimming. It was only when she let go and took a leap of faith that she was able to experience he joy of success. The other interesting learning is that I can barely swim. I don't like swimming. I have a bit of a fear of water, especially going under it. Rowan has no fear of water and loves going under it. This means that I, as a barely capable swimmer, was able to coach her to become a decent swimming in only two hours. I did this by helping her to subdue her fears in order to access her inner knowledge. This is the exact same thing I do for my students, many of whom do things in their business that I cannot even concieve of. My job is not to teach them to do their jobs. They're already experts in that. My job is to teach them to unlock their potential and deploy that knowledge where it will do the most good. Interested in connecting with me?
