Ep 57: Top 10 Things To Love about Being a High EQ Leader - Part 1

Join me for this part 1 of my series called, "Top Things to Love about Being a High EQ Leader" In Ep. 57, we explore the top things below as listed, and go into each one just a bit. Why should we love these things as a high EQ leader? Being a high EQ leader means you're the best of the best - you are a master influencer, orchestrator, and compelling human others naturally follow and want to be around. When we get these things and hold them as important skills on our leadership journey - they can help us feel so much more clear and motivated, every step of the way. So here's part 1 - and the 10 for today: Leadership is an inside job.. You know the definition of leadership is the ability to influence. If I'm not aware of what I want and need then no one else will be aware of what I want and need. I don't need a title, I can leave my life in any way I choose and it doesn't matter what my title is. I am not defined by work as my title or my job. Leadership means being in authority and not in superiority. Meeting people where they're at and seeing them in mutuality. Team Dynamics is part of leadership, and the ability to read the room. To do this, I need to be aware of how I'm feeling and if there's tension who is holding the anxiety and who's holding what role in the room. The right hand man literally sits to the leader in the right-hand seat. First followers are as important as the leader. If you don't have a first follower, it's much more difficult to get anyone else behind your ideas. So work with people to follow you and influence them to do so.
