from Showing Up To Life · host Art Burns
If you don’t mind, I’d like to cover a few items with you in addition to the daily content. First, I want you to know that you can support this work through my Patreon Page. Even just a couple of dollars a month can go a very long way! Thank you!!! Also, I want you to know that I’m giving away a cutting from the plant in the background of my videos! The first person to email me at [email protected] wins! (see today’s video for details. And last, please let me know if you’d be interested in a low-cost ($5-$10 per session) group coaching program. See today’s episode for details on this too and let me know at the email above. And now, to today’s content! Many of us apologize several times a day without really knowing what we’re trying to convey with the apology. For those of us with histories of childhood trauma, we might apologize for the way we feel; for expressing our emotions; or even for stating our needs. Sadly, for all of us who do these things, we’ve been doing the apology thing all wrong! The good news is that you can use the act of apology as an opportunity to practice mindful presence, empathy, and compassion (for yourself as well!) In today’s video, I discuss this at length and offer some simple strategies for reframing the way you apologize to yourself and others: Perhaps you feel like you need a little extra help with this work? If so, there’s no shame in that! And the really happy news is that help is available! In fact, you already have a coaching session just sitting here in my calendar, waiting to be claimed. There is no cost or obligation to this call, so you’ve got nothing at all to lose by clicking here to claim yours!
