Ep 58: Black Gold

from The Baub Show

September 13, 2010 - It's back to school, back to labor and an end to wearing white! It's a brand new episode of The Baub Show and this week we'll be welcoming the hot new band, Black Gold, fresh off of their exciting performance on the season finale of So You Think You Can Dance! Black Gold is the new collaboration between Eric Ronick (Panic at the Disco, Ambulance Ltd.) and Than Luu (M. Ward, Rachel Yamagata, shushshush). The band formed at the beginning of 2006 while Eric and Than were on tour with Ambulance Ltd. and the Killers. After touring, they immediately set up at Thinman Studios in Brooklyn and began writing and recording. The result is the forthcoming album Rush, an addictive collection of songs evoking T-Rex, Satie, Chic, Quincy Jones-era Michael Jackson, Bowie, the brothers Gibb and the Band.
