EP 589: Mindful Rushing + About the Confirmation Bias

Over the years that I’ve been fortunate to coach people in mindfulness and compassion and watch their lives change, one curious misconception has come up many times. The idea that in order to be mindful, we must move slowly (and therefore will be less productive in our lives), is purely false and nothing could be further from the truth. In the first segment of today’s episode, I talk about this misconception and how to hurry mindfully whenever you need to. In the second segment, I give you a hilariously frustrating example of how the confirmation bias shows up in our moment-to-moment experience. I also discuss some of the other implicit biases we all have and how to work with those too. Enjoy!
