The most powerful computer is based on the human brain. A quantum computer will be able to calculate a billion times faster than we can. But when we think or move faster, is it necessarily better? Can speed substitute quality? Why don’t we expand our human wisdom through the lens of kindness, love, compassion, and empathy? Can a machine, however wonderful it may seem, ever have the soul of a human being? And if an evil human being creates the objective of an intelligence a million times more intelligent, what will that intelligence do to the bug that created it?
