Barry from Watford is the nation’s favourite octogenarian lifestyle guru, broadcaster and raconteur. After first becoming a cult hero on Iain Lee’s LBC phone-in show, Barry went on to become a regular on Marcus Brigstocke’s Late Edition before spending ten glorious years dispensing his unique wisdom to millions of listeners on Steve Wright in the Afternoon on BBC Radio 2. He’s starred in his own hit Edinburgh Fringe shows, toured the UK, and now hosts the talkSPORT podcast Buckle Up with Barry, where famous faces climb into the back of his cab for candid conversations. Whether he’s discussing suburban life, minty biscuits or the trials and tribulations of his beloved Margaret, Barry remains one of Britain’s most cherished comic voices.
