Ep:6 #MeToo Getting Robbed and #TimesUp

from ALLWays Another Way · host Marina Sbrochi

#MeToo Getting Robbed and #TimesUp -- Explicit Language Warning ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Today I'm going to talk about why sexual violence is the only crime that makes the victims feel shamed and bad. If today, you were robbed, got into a car accident with a drunk driver, kidnapped, physically assaulted or financially scammed -- you would tell everyone you know, run to the police and possibly post about it on social media. You would be angry at the perpetrator. However, you yourself wouldn't feel bad that someone robbed you. You wouldn't blame yourself if a drunk driver hit you. No one would ask you what you were doing driving at 2 AM if a drunk driver hit you. I can openly talk about being robbed and I wouldn't make anyone feel uncomfortable and it wouldn't be a conversation stopper. But let me tell you about the babysitter that molested me when I was four or tell you about another incident… And you immediately clam up and don't want to talk to me. I've made you feel very uncomfortable. This is completely ridiculous!!!!!! 256 women have come forward against Larry Nassar. Do you think it's a coincidence of the timing that Joe Paterno passed away after Larry Sandusky? How hard has the Catholic Church tried to pedophiles. The statistics are off. The majority of women and men do not report crimes of sexual violence. Janelle Monáe gave a very powerful speech at the Grammys and her message is Time's Up. Time is Up!!! What's with the gun and the silencer? I'm going to talk about it today. #metoo #timesup You can get custom recordings at www.allwaysanotherway.com and my new business venture at www.betterthanaboardroom.com I appreciate you listening.
