Ep 60 Barbados Dibs
from Black and Snerdy Podcast · host Ode and Mo "Kid" Licorish
On this episode of Black and Snerdy, Ode (@thatsod.e / @thatsod_e) and Mo "Kid" Licorish (@licorishislegit) open with listener Q&A about cherished memories and life milestones, landing on both hosts’ Howard graduation stories and the complex pride that comes with getting through school. The pair trade travel daydreams—Mo plotting an all‑inclusive Barbados getaway for immediate family, Ode mapping a cultural tour of Brazil (Salvador/Bahia), Colombia, and Costa Rica—and use those plans to talk about identity, diasporic ties, and what it means to find community in different places. They move into news you can use: a detailed recap of the Tory Lanez / Megan Thee Stallion trial developments and courtroom testimony, Young Thug/Gunna/YSL RICO developments and legal strategies (Alford plea discussion), the manslaughter conviction in the Atyana Jefferson case, surprise family news from Diddy and his newly announced daughter, Brittney Griner’s homecoming and its implications for WNBA pay and player safety abroad, and the naming of Claudine Gay as Harvard’s president. Between travel talk and hard news, Ode and Mo thread culture, justice, and family priorities through every item they discuss.
