Ep. 60 Somerton Man and Ancient Ram Inn

from Oy with the Terror Podcast · host Oy with the Terror Podcast

Welcome back! Danielle talks about the mysterious and still unknown identity of the Somerton Man. He was found deceased, propped up in front of a wall at Somerton Beach in Adelaide, Australia in 1948. There was no identification found on the body. A note was discovered sewn into his pants pocket which read, "Tamam Shud", Persian for it's finished. So many suspicious details were found that it made investigators believe his death was a homicide, likely a result of being poisoned. His body was exhumed last year to run DNA tests in an attempt to uncover new evidence. In this week's episode Sandra talks about the Ancient Ram Inn. Located in Gloucestershire UK the Ancient Ram Inn was built in 1145. It was first used to house masons, slaves and workers who were constructing the St. Mary's Church located directly across the street. Today it is used as an inn and is home to several spirits. One of them is supposedly a witch who was burned at the stake in the 1500's. You can actually request the room that she supposedly stayed in before being killed. That room is known as the "Witch's Room."
