In the ensuring years from Irenaeus, there has been theories of ransom, moral influence, governmental, healing and kaleidoscope; including major debates centred around christus victor and penal substitution. Where does the common ground lay if any, and does it really matter?This week Pete and the Curious Team will be diving into the various views of the atonement, seeking to draw the essential truths to the surface. Despite the many opinions and emphasis, the atonement remains a rich and wonderfully powerful truth of scripture.
