Happened In the 90's hosted by Steve and Matt picks a day, any day, and then goes back in time to that magical decade we all know and love the 90's, to revisit episodes of tv, movies that premiered, or cultural events that occurred on that day in the 90's.   This week Matt and Steve talk a little bit about the movie Tommy Boy and some fun facts that have come out since.  They also talk a little football even though we're months away from the season. Then we're speeding down the 90's highway to March 31st in the 90s.   SEGMENT 1 Movie: Tommy Boy Premier Date:  03/31/1995 Story:  After his auto-parts tycoon father dies, the overweight, underachieving son teams up with a snide accountant to try and save the family business.   SEGMENT 2 Show: Wrestlemania XII Air Date:  03/31/1996 Story:  WrestleMania XII was the 12th annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It took place on March 31, 1996, at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. A total of seven matches were held at the event, including one on the Free for All pre-show. In the main event, Bret Hart lost the WWF Championship to Shawn Michaels in the first televised Iron Man match in company history, set for 60 minutes. In his return to the company after a four-year hiatus, The Ultimate Warrior defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Roddy Piper had his first match since 1994, after which he left for rival promotion World Championship Wrestling. Bullet Points: 1.
