Ep. 64 - #26SpiritualHabits - Habit #10 - Spend Time in Nature - Update

Salaam Alaykum, Welcome back to The Rogue Muslim podcast. This year, i'm starting a new series inspired by the Emma Guns Show. It's a practice of cultivating 26 habits through the course of the year – and in this case, cultivating 26 spiritual habits. Here is the Update for Habit #10, which was to spend more time in nature. Have a listen to hear how I fared with it, and what my next steps are for it. I would love to hear how you did with it, if you joined along! In this episode, I discuss: This week I discuss: - How planting taught me that Allah wants us to thrive. - How we all require different care, and not to judge based on the different capacities and requirements that on another needs - How observing plants allowed me to appreciate the power of nurturing the roots of religion, and how we need this now more than ever in the fight for Black Lives Matter. - How feeding our roots removes our blinders and we’re better able to see what is happening in this world - And more. I hope you enjoy this series, and if you would join in on any of the habits, or cultivate your own, I would love to hear your reflections!
