This is an annual observance that honours the memory of Transgender people who have died in acts of anti transgender violence. The reported toll this year is the highest death toll ever recorded. Members of our global community are not yet safe. If we want a better safer world, we need to acknowledge that Transgender people are at risk, all the time. Change starts with us. A few things we can do as allies: Acknowledge and validate transgender people Learning and normalizing peoples pronouns, and incorporating offering your own pronouns in settings where your meeting new people. Supporting organizations that offer resources to transgender and non-binary people. Supporting Transgender and non-binary owned businesses.
