EP 64 - The History of The San Patricio Brigade

from History for Foos · host FELIPE ESPARZA

Felipe and Butch keep going back in time to find out the atrocities young America were committing in the 1800s. In this episode, they talk about the history of the Saint Patrick's Brigade formed by John Riley. The brigade was a Mexican Army unit which fought against the United States in the Mexican American War. Consisting of several hundred mostly Irish and other Catholic European expatriates and immigrants, including numerous men who had deserted or defected from the United States Army. This affected how the US took over parts of Mexico which later ended up being California. This is an episode that would require even multiple episodes because of its vast timeline in history but here, Felipe and Butch explain it as much as they can.LINKSFelipe Esparza: @FelipeEsparzaComedian (IG) @FunnyFelipe (TT)Butch Escobar: @ButchEscobar(IG and TT Theme music (Intro and Outro) - by IkeReatorBeatzGet tickets to laugh with Felipe @ http://FelipesWorld.comFelipe Esparza is a comedian and actor, known for his stand-up specials, “They’re Not Gonna Laugh at You”, “Translate This”, and his latest dual-release on Netflix, “Bad Decisions/Malas Decisiones” (2 different performances in two languages), his recurring appearances on Netflix’s “Gentefied”, NBC’s “Superstore” and Adultswim’s “The Eric Andre Show”, as well as winning “Last Comic Standing” (2010), and his popular podcast called “What’s Up Fool?”.
