EP 65: Behind Her Faith with Paula Bryant Ellis

Faithpreneur Diaries: This week we are discussing the importance of building intimacy with God with film director-producer Paula Bryant-Ellis Paula Bryant-Ellis is a Los Angeles-based film director and producer. She is the CEO of Mary Esther Ruth, Inc., and MER Productions.  Through her company Mary Esther Ruth, Inc., she seeks to lead women into a more personal relationship with Christ. MER, Inc., reaches women in the middle of their busy day through a weekly podcast, speaking events, prayer workshops, online resources and the MER Blog.  Through MER Productions, Paula is focused on creating positive content that uplifts women and specifically women of color, who are underrepresented in roles that encourage and empower. Her new TV series Behind Her Faith, highlights the journey of four women (actresses Essence Atkins, Niecy Nash, Aisha Hinds and Angelica Nwandu, Founder & CEO of The Shade Room) and the power of their faith. The series can be streamed on AppleTV, Amazon, Roku and UMC.tv (an AMC Network).  Prior to returning to the entertainment industry in 2015, where she started her career as an accountant in television, Paula held multiple leadership roles in banking and finance including Chief Operations Officer responsible for the strategic and operational direction and oversight of all end-to-end support functions for a $6 billion sales division and a $14 billion mortgage servicing channel with over 600 employees across an eight-state regional footprint.  She's studied filmmaking and producing at the New York Film Academy in New York and Los Angeles.
