Starlight Thursdays Episode 65- BK Love in the house with this live recording from the Signal Test show at The Remington in Whitefish on 3/11/21. Few Words From BK Love. Getting booked by Mike Beasley to play at his Signal Test show was an honor. He’d been putting all the right effort in all the right places to make the evening feel pretty special, Not to mention it was one of the first parties of 2021 after the shutdowns. I wasn’t sure how the crowd would receive the style of music I’m into. The dance floor was bumping from the killer set Beatgypsy threw down. It was moving to get on stage and connect with the people after such a long time being locked down. The crowd was really into it. Hearing their reactions during transitions and changes brought a huge energy to the room giving me a ton of inspiration to get really deep into it. This set is a mix of melodic Techno and House that ebbs and flows between bright warm melodies into dark bass booming synth. I’ve been really into taking these sets to a place inspired by symphony orchestras. Starting with minimal sounds and building up a mix by composing 4 tracks simultaneously to play well together and at times play of one anothers harmony and melodies. I’ve been really into Biceps latest album Apricots and inspired to share their amazing tracks in my sets. There live performances and recordings are inspiring and have become a staple in the live mixes I’ll be releasing this year.
