Ep. 65 Holy Smackdown

This week on Meet in the Middle, it’s the holiest of smackdowns as we dive into the absolutely real and completely bonkers story of a Yorkshire church hosting wrestling-themed services. Yep, Jesus in a headlock. WWE meets WWJD. It’s a divine tag team and you know we’ve got thoughts. With Rachel off negotiating peace with a hangover demon, the lads step in for a classic “bad boys” episode: unfiltered, unhinged and probably unholy. In ‘Have You Heard’, we look at why a former pro wrestler is now delivering sermons and suplexes. And yes, there’s actual stained glass behind the ring ropes. Meanwhile, ‘Confessionals’ delivers chaos as always—featuring a butter-sculpture stalker, workplace texts gone weird and the most awkward Tinder match since Eve swiped right on that snake. Plus: why Days of Our Lives caused a podcast meltdown and how a tub-based toilet emergency nearly ended a relationship (and possibly a plumbing system). Top 10 Takedown returns with hot debates and hotter controversy as Jake tries to defend the indefensible and Danny actually becomes the podcast ombudsman. Justice for soap operas! 🎧 Wrestling ring or altar call? Suplex or sermon? Find out now in one of our wildest episodes yet!
