Ep. 65 Women in AI with LaDavia Drane

On today's show, we are joined by LaDavia Drane, Global Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity at Amazon Web Services. We're gonna be discussing the issue of women in STEM careers, and in particular, AI. We chat about some of the barriers they face, some of the things Drane hopes to see at AWS and how we can help women grow in fields such as AI. Following a report from Deloitte on Women in AI that had a lot of interesting insights into why women have struggled in AI as a field, I wanted to explore what the cost has been for AI as a result and what female leaders in the field feel needs to happen now. This interview comes off the back of that report.
