Dr. Sotheara Chhim was only 7 years old when the Khmer Rouge rose to power in Cambodia, and he was sent to work in a labor camp. He would later become among the first Cambodian psychiatrists to graduate after the Khmer Rouge, dedicating his practice to healing his countrymen’s broken courage or baksbat.
