"The king is dead! Long live the king!"---------When we heard the news of Anchor Brewing (Anchor is the oldest brewing operation in California) stopping operations, we were stunned. Anchor Steam Beer is a favorite for many, including us. We're going to miss this brand. It made us think that it might be fun to reflect on other classic brands and companies that have died out, gone dormant, or changed so much that they are essentially unrecognizable.
