Prior to this position at Augusta University, she facilitated professional development at the University of Hawaii where she implemented a program that taught pre-service and in-service teachers pedagogical strategies best-suited for teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students. Within health sciences research, her interests include assisting students to develop patient ownership, developing educational researchers, and leveraging the cultural assets of faculty and students in medicine.
