Ep: 69 - Jonathan Harvey

In this episode of Shit My Dad Taught Me, we sit down with entrepreneur, media founder and commentator Jonathan Harvey to talk about failure, resilience, business, fatherhood and what success actually means. Jonathan shares his journey from dropping out of college and failing at businesses in his twenties to building companies across restaurants, construction, media and technology. He talks about learning through failure, staying focused as an entrepreneur, “burning the boats” and why knowing your definition of success matters before you spend your life chasing it. He also opens up about his more than 20 year relationship with his wife Megan, raising their son Jackson, preparing for their second child and their upcoming move from Canada to Texas. Becoming a father has changed Jonathan's perspective on ambition, time and legacy, with his biggest goals now extending far beyond business. It's a conversation about building companies, raising resilient kids, surrounding your family with the right people and creating a life where success gives you more of what matters most: time.
