EP#69 Passenger Held Captive on Dublin Tram by Security Over €2 Ticket-Full Interview!!

Matthew and Arezu are joined by Dublin man Wayne who details his extraordinary interaction with Security Officers from Dublin's Light Rail Service 'Luas. From initially being asked by one security officer to produce a ticket to travel (in what Wayne describes as an "aggressive" manner) to being publicly chastised by the security officers and faced with a frustrated and angry mob as a result, to finally being locked on an almost empty tram with the security officers and then taken away without anyone informing him of what was happening or where they were taking him. Luckily for Wayne, he managed to record (almost) the entire interaction showing that what started as a customer service issue could have easily been resolved in a customer service manner, but instead was rapidly turned into a potentially dangerous situation for both Wayne and a 76 year old lady who claims she was threatened by one of the angry passengers that had turned on Wayne.
