Every 9 seconds a woman in the U.S. becomes a victim of Domestic Violence so during the time of this entire podcast episode almost 400 women have became a victim and half of them didn't make it. the other half are afraid to speak out and a few are standing up and speaking out, telling our stories to bring awareness. In this episode I share details of The Black Eye Project and how you can help raise awareness, signs that someone you know may be a victim of domestic violence, how you can safely intervene if you witness domestic violence in public or with a loved one and how one of the DARKEST moments of my life helped me to see my LIGHT and find my purpose. ***Domestic Violence Awareness Month***Join me on Tuesday Oct 29, 2019 The Black Eye Project: During the Black Eye Project, educated volunteers apply makeup to resemble a black eye before entering the community. These volunteers make sure to act normal in public places, seeing who will notice them and provide support. When approached, these volunteers give out educational items as a way of raising awareness and thank participants.
