EP 7 - INTERVIEW: Howard Stelzer

In this episode we interview the prolific and joyful Howard Stelzer from his home in Western Massachusetts. We get into his development from live performance into the studio, his disdain for "field recordings", and even his super cute puppy makes a guest appearance while crying for us to shut up and give her attention. Please listen to Howard's music because it's so varied and beautiful. musical example citations: (in order of appearance): USED FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES - IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR MUSIC REMOVED FROM THE PODCAST PLEASE EMAIL US Howard Stelzer - Take Lots of Dramamine from Your Own Working Class Will Bury You (Suburban Observances Volume Four) Front 242 - Funkahdafi from Politics of Pressure Skinny Puppy - Dogshit from VIVIsectVI Fishbone - Sunless Saturday Frans De Waard - Lamp Derek Bailey - Improvisation 102: Tap 1 A Giuseppe Ielasi - 4 Howard Stelzer - Bond Inlets (Part 2) Howard Stelzer & Jason Talbot - Teeth from Songs P16.D4 - Paris, Morgue MC5 - Kick Out The Jams live 1970 Detroit Howard Stelzer - Burgundy (from "Invariably Falling Forward, Into the Thickets of Closure") Howard Stelzer - Teal (from "Invariably Falling Forward, Into the Thickets of Closure") Howard Stelzer - Overground from Your Own Working Class Will Bury You (Suburban Observances Volume Four) Howard Stelzer - Maroon (from "Invariably Falling Forward, Into the Thickets of Closure") Howard Stelzer - The Drawing Near (from Anathematization of the World is Not an Adequate Response to the World) Peter Hope & Richard H.
