In 1974, the Cleveland Indians (the team now known as the Cleveland Guardians), had a problem with dwindling attendance. They hadn't attracted a crowd in years and were perennial losers. So some marketing genius thought up the idea of 10 cent beer night - and it went about as well as you might expect. Baseball chaos galore.
