She has been a frequent contributor to Fear Free, serves on the Fear Free speakers bureau, volunteers on the AAFP Cat-Friendly Practice committee, and acts as the vice president of the Relief Veterinary Medical Association. In late 2023, she started My Family Cat, a cat behavior house call practice supporting the felines of the Austin area. In her free time, she enjoys backyard birding, finding great food places, and spending time with her partner Brian and their 17-year-old cat, Puff.
