If you are in family court with an abusive and narcissistic ex partner it is likely that the possibility of having a court/custody evaluation will be on the table.Is having a separate person who is supposed to be neutral evaluate your case in order to give recommendations to the judge always helpful?  Ever helpful?There are many nuances to making the decision to choose and  hire a family court evaluator and even more nuances in how to present your case when you do have one on your case.In this episode I speak with Courtney Gilmartin, a survivor and current non-profit founder focusing on legislation to change our family court system for the better, shares her experience of post separation abuse, legal abuse, and being able to leverage a court evaluator for a positive outcome for her custody case.
