EP 75 - Ash-Three Is At It Again!
The brothers are back with a big one this week! The Courage routed Chicago 6-0, with Ashley Sanchez's first career hat trick setting new NWSL single-season records for an American player (16 goals) and for a teammate duo, with Evelyn Ijeh, at 27 (they closed the night at 29). Sanchez finished the match with 18 goals on the season (so far) and was named NWSL Player of the Month for August. Korey and Jake also cover Mak Lind's Coach of the Month honor, Sanchez and Ijeh both landing on the August Best XI, new signing Bia Gomes' NWSL debut, and Chioma Okafor's first professional goal. Note: this episode was recorded before Maycee Bell was placed on the Season-Ending Injury list, so that news isn't covered here (but it'll be next week). A fun show as always, check it out!
