Ep.75 "Punxsutawney Phil" The Best Groundhog Day Debate

from The Reel Debaters

This week on The Reel Debaters Micheal Petrow, Martin Navarro and Jimmy Skinner welcome Director Ian Bawa to return and sit down in the virtual living room to squabble about the 24 hour time loop. Inspired by the comedy classic Groundhog Day (1993) the guys quarrel about what movie would they want to spend 24 hours in with the ability to do whatever they want...like the movie. Well and also slowly go insane in as well. Premise: Pick any movie that falls in the sports genre (SPORTS!!!!) and apply the plot of Groundhog Day to it, argue why that movie and its canon and stories would be great to live over and over again. Caveat: You must learn a lesson to break your loop, like any lead character has to. Conflict people, its what we crave!Stick around for an end credits trailer dedicated to what Cameron Crow film you can always watch in the background.
